Best Robot Vacuum (2026): 8 Picks Compared
By Ethan Halfhide · Updated
The best robot vacuum for most homes is the Dreame X50 Ultra ($999.99 on Dreame's US store as of October 2026): 20,000 Pa suction, legs that climb obstacles up to 2.36 in, and a dock that empties, washes and hot-air dries. For less, the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro ($549.99) vacuums and mops, and the Roborock Q7 M5+ ($249.99) self-empties on a budget. Below, eight robots compared on dock, height and smart home support.

The short answer
The best robot vacuum for most homes is one with LiDAR or similar mapping, a self-emptying dock and, if you have hard floors, mops the dock washes for you. Price matters more than brand: in October 2026 the makers' own stores sell good all-in-one models for $550 to $1,000, and a basic self-emptying robot for about $250. Here are eight current robots compared from what each maker publishes, with a pick for each kind of home.
- Best overall: Dreame X50 Ultra. $999.99 (regular $1,599.99). 20,000 Pa suction, retractable legs that climb obstacles up to 2.36 in, a dock that empties into a 3.2 L bag for up to 100 days, washes mops in water heated to 80°C and dries them with hot air, and Matter support.
- Best value all-in-one: Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro. $549.99 (regular $799.99). 20,000 Pa, mops that detach on carpet, and a dock that empties the robot and washes the mops after each clean.
- Best budget pick: Roborock Q7 M5+. $249.99 for the black version (regular $429.99). LiDAR navigation, 10,000 Pa and a 2.7 L dust bag that Roborock rates for up to 7 weeks.
- Best vacuum-only robot: iRobot Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty Dock. $449.99. LiDAR, a bagged dock that iRobot says empties for up to 75 days, and Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant support.
- Best bagless dock: Shark Matrix Self-Empty Robot Vacuum (RV2310AE). $499.99. LiDAR mapping and a bagless base that Shark says holds up to 45 days of debris.
- Best roller mop: Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow. $799.99 (regular $999.99). A 270 mm self-cleaning roller mop, 20,000 Pa and a dock that cleans the mop at 167°F and dries it at 131°F.
- Best premium pick: Roborock Saros 20. $1,599.99. 36,000 Pa, a chassis that crosses double thresholds up to 3.46 in, 212°F mop washing and Matter compatibility.
- Most unusual: Roborock Saros Z70. $999.99 (regular $2,599.99). A folding robotic arm that picks up items such as socks and small towels under 300 g before it cleans.
All prices come from each maker's own US store as of October 2026 (checked October 26, 2026). Many were sale prices, and they change often.

The picks in detail
Dreame X50 Ultra: best overall
Price: $999.99 on Dreame's US store (regular $1,599.99) as of October 2026. The X50 Ultra Complete is $1,099.99 (regular $1,699.99), and Dreame's page also advertised lower prices after a coupon that day.
Who it's for: a mixed-floor home with rugs, thresholds and pets where you want the dock to do nearly everything.
Key facts from Dreame: 20,000 Pa suction, retractable legs that Dreame says glide over obstacles up to 2.36 in, and a VersaLift sensor that drops the robot's height to 89 mm (about 3.5 in) to fit under furniture. Navigation is a DToF LDS sensor plus AI RGB and 3D structured light, and Dreame says it identifies up to 200 types of objects, including pet waste. The dock deposits up to 100 days of debris in a 3.2 L dust bag, washes the mops in water heated up to 80°C with four temperature settings, dries them with hot air and refills the water tank. The spec table lists mop removal, and the page lists Alexa, Google Home, Siri and Matter support. Dreame lists a 3-year warranty.
Trade-offs: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. The water hookup kit for automatic refilling and draining from your plumbing is sold separately.
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro: best value all-in-one
Price: $549.99 on Roborock's US store (regular $799.99) as of October 2026.
Who it's for: most homes that want vacuuming and mopping with little upkeep, for well under $1,000.
Key facts from Roborock: 20,000 Pa HyperForce suction, a dual anti-tangle brush system, automatic mop detachment so carpets stay dry, and a reversible side brush for corners. Roborock says the dock washes the mop after each cleaning cycle and empties the robot into a self-sealing dust bag, and structured-light sensors detect everyday obstacles. The robot is 3.80 in tall, and the box includes a rotating mop module. Roborock lists a 1-year limited warranty.
Trade-offs: Roborock's page does not state how long the dust bag lasts or whether the dock dries the mops, and we found no voice assistant list on it. If you want a longer bag interval at a similar price, the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 under Also considered lists up to 100 days.
Roborock Q7 M5+: best budget pick
Price: $249.99 for the black version on Roborock's US store (regular $429.99) as of October 2026. The white version was $359.99.
Who it's for: apartments and smaller homes that want mapped, hands-off vacuuming at the lowest price.
Key facts from Roborock: 10,000 Pa HyperForce suction, a dual anti-tangle system, PreciSense LiDAR navigation, three water flow levels for its detachable mop, and an auto-empty dock with a 2.7 L dust bag that Roborock rates for up to 7 weeks. The robot is 3.9 in (99 mm) tall and climbs thresholds of 2 cm. Roborock lists a 1-year limited warranty.
Trade-offs: the app supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, the page describes no obstacle avoidance feature, and the dock does not wash a mop. For other low-cost docks, see our self-emptying robot vacuums compared.
iRobot Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty Dock: best vacuum-only robot
Price: $449.99 on iRobot's US store as of October 2026.
Who it's for: carpeted homes or anyone who does not want a mop at all.
Key facts from iRobot: ClearView LiDAR maps the home, avoids obstacles and cleans in neat rows. iRobot claims 70X more power-lifting suction than its Roomba 600 series (it gives no Pa figure). The AutoEmpty dock empties the robot for up to 75 days into a bag that iRobot says traps 99% of allergens as small as 0.7 microns. It works with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant-enabled devices.
Trade-offs: no mopping, and iRobot's product page does not state the warranty term.
Shark Matrix Self-Empty Robot Vacuum (RV2310AE): best bagless dock
Price: $499.99 on SharkNinja's US store as of October 2026.
Who it's for: buyers who do not want to keep buying dust bags.
Key facts from Shark: 360° LiDAR vision maps the home and avoids objects day or night, and Matrix Clean makes multiple passes in a grid. The bagless base holds up to 45 days of dirt and debris, so there are no disposal bags to buy. The brushroll is self-cleaning, and the pre-motor filter is washable. Shark lists a one-year limited warranty.
Trade-offs: vacuum only, no suction figure, and the page does not list voice assistants. On the same page Shark listed the Shark Matrix Plus (RV2610WA) at $299.99, reduced from $699.99; that model is not covered on this page.
Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow: best roller mop
Price: $799.99 on Roborock's US store (regular $999.99) as of October 2026.
Who it's for: homes with lots of hard floor where mopping matters as much as vacuuming.
Key facts from Roborock: a SpiraFlow real-time self-cleaning roller mop that is 270 mm wide, lifts up to 15 mm with a roller shield, and presses down with what Roborock calls 2.5x boosted mopping pressure. Suction is 20,000 Pa, and Reactive AI obstacle recognition avoids over 200 types of clutter at least 5 cm wide and 3 cm tall. The dock cleans the mop at 167°F and dries it with 131°F warm air. The robot is 4.7 in tall. Roborock lists a 1-year warranty.
Trade-offs: at 4.7 in it is taller than the other Roborock models here, so check the gap under your sofa. The page does not state dust bag capacity or smart home support. More mopping robots are in our guide to robot vacuum and mop combos.
Roborock Saros 20: best premium pick
Price: $1,599.99 on Roborock's US store as of October 2026.
Who it's for: large homes with high thresholds, deep carpet and a Matter smart home.
Key facts from Roborock: a 36,000 Pa HyperForce digital motor, an AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 that crosses double-layer thresholds up to 3.46 in, and StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 with 3D sensors and an RGB camera that Roborock says identifies over 300 types of obstacles. It uses a dual rotating mop module. The RockDock washes mops with 212°F hot water, dries them with 131°F warm air, dispenses detergent, empties the robot, refills water and cleans itself. The robot is 3.14 in tall. Roborock lists it as Matter protocol compatible (Siri Shortcuts, Alexa and Google Home) and gives a 1-year limited warranty.
Trade-offs: the highest price here, and the page does not state how long the dust bag lasts. See its Saros 20 listing for more.
Roborock Saros Z70: most unusual
Price: $999.99 on Roborock's US store (regular $2,599.99) as of October 2026.
Who it's for: households that would rather not pick up socks and toys before every clean.
Key facts from Roborock: a foldable five-axis mechanical arm (OmniGrip) that Roborock says picks up items up to 300 g, such as socks, small towels, crumpled tissues and sandals, and moves them out of the way. It is 7.98 cm (3.14 in) tall, with 22,000 Pa suction, StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, a dual anti-tangle system and an AdaptiLift chassis. Its Multi-functional Dock 4.0 empties the robot and washes the mops with 80°C hot water, then dries them, and the robot removes its mops for vacuum-only jobs. Roborock's global product page lists voice commands through Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Home, and says Matter support will come through a future software update. Roborock lists a 1-year limited warranty.
Trade-offs: Roborock says the arm recognizes a set list of objects that it will add to over time, and Matter is not available yet. Details are on its Saros Z70 listing.

- eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2 ($1,599.99): 30,000 Pa, a HydroJet 2.0 self-cleaning roller mop, a station that washes the mop with 60°C water and dries it with 55°C hot air, and Matter support. See its Omni S2 listing.

How to choose a robot vacuum
- Decide whether you want mopping. If most of your floor is carpet, a vacuum-only robot such as the Roomba 105 or Shark Matrix costs less and has fewer parts to clean. If you have hard floors, a dock that washes and dries the mops saves the most work.
- Look at the dock, not just the robot. A self-emptying dock means you empty a bag or bin every few weeks instead of the robot after every run. Check the maker's capacity figure (7 weeks to 100 days on this page) and whether it uses bags.
- Check the height. The robots here range from 3.14 in (Saros 20 and Saros Z70) to 4.7 in (Qrevo Curv 2 Flow). Measure the gap under your sofa and bed.
- Think about thresholds and rugs. If you have raised door sills, look for a climbing figure: 2 cm on the Q7 M5+, up to 2.36 in on the Dreame X50 Ultra and 3.46 in on the Saros 20.
- Match your pets. Anti-tangle brushes and obstacle recognition matter most with long hair and pet messes. Our guide to robot vacuums for pet hair compared goes deeper.
- Check your smart home. If you use Matter, Alexa, Google Home or Siri, confirm the model lists it. Several pages here list app control only, and Matter on the Saros Z70 is still a promise. See our list of devices that support Matter.
What we don't know
- Real cleaning results. This page compares what makers publish. Suction in Pa and capacity in days are the makers' own figures from in-house testing, measured differently by each brand, so they do not tell you which robot picks up more in your home.
- Dock capacity on several models. Roborock's pages for the Qrevo 2 Pro, Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, Saros 20 and Saros Z70 do not state how long the dust bag lasts.
- iRobot's warranty term for the Roomba 105 Vac. Its product page links to a policy page but does not state the term.
- How long sale prices last. Most prices here were reductions on the makers' stores on October 26, 2026, with no end date given.
- Stock. Some maker pages showed stock messages that conflicted with their add-to-cart buttons on the day we checked.
How this page was put together
We did not test these robots. We compared published information from each maker's own US store and product pages (Dreame, Roborock, iRobot, SharkNinja, eufy and MOVA), all read on October 26, 2026. Prices are the makers' own and change often. No reseller prices, reviews, ratings or third-party test scores are used.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best robot vacuum in 2026?
For most homes, the Dreame X50 Ultra ($999.99 on Dreame's US store as of October 2026). Dreame lists 20,000 Pa suction, retractable legs for obstacles up to 2.36 in, recognition of up to 200 object types including pet waste, and a dock that empties into a 3.2 L bag for up to 100 days, washes the mops in water up to 80°C and dries them with hot air.
What is the best cheap robot vacuum?
The Roborock Q7 M5+ was $249.99 for the black version on Roborock's US store as of October 2026 (regular $429.99). It has LiDAR navigation, 10,000 Pa suction and an auto-empty dock with a 2.7 L bag that Roborock rates for up to 7 weeks.
Is Roomba or Shark better?
It depends on what you want from the dock. The Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty Dock ($449.99) uses a bagged dock that iRobot rates for up to 75 days and works with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant. The Shark Matrix Self-Empty RV2310AE ($499.99) uses a bagless base that Shark rates for up to 45 days. Both use LiDAR and neither mops.
Which robot vacuum brand is best?
No brand wins on every model. On this page, the Roborock and Dreame picks that mop have docks that wash the mops, the iRobot and Shark picks are vacuum-only, and eufy's Omni S2 uses a roller mop. Compare the specific model's dock, height and smart home support rather than the brand.
Do robot vacuums work on carpet?
Yes. All eight robots on this page vacuum carpet. Models that mop handle carpet differently: the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro and Saros Z70 can detach their mops, the Dreame X50 Ultra can remove its mops, and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow lifts its roller mop up to 15 mm.
How long do robot vacuums last?
Makers do not publish a lifespan. What they do publish is the warranty: on this page Dreame lists 3 years for the X50 Ultra, Roborock lists a 1-year limited warranty, and Shark lists one year for the Matrix RV2310AE. Roborock and Shark also sell replacement parts such as dust bags, filter doors and brushroll doors on their stores.
