About

Eve Energy switches a lamp or appliance and measures how much power it uses. It connects over Thread and is Matter-enabled, so it can join the Matter platforms Eve lists, as long as you have a hub with Matter controller and Thread border router functions. Eve says it also relays other Thread accessories' data and strengthens the Thread network.

For energy, Eve says you can track consumption with the Eve app or the energy measurement feature of your platform, and enter your electricity rate in the Eve app for the most accurate cost view. The Eve app is available on iPhone and iPad for devices added through Apple Home, and on Android for devices added through Google Home. Eve also notes that energy management features are available on the Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant platforms.

Schedules run independently of your smartphone or internet connection, the green LED doubles as an on and off button, and Eve lists no subscription, no registration and no Eve cloud. Eve says Eve Energy is TUV and UL certified.
