About
The Ring Outdoor Cam 4K Plus (2nd Gen) is a Retinal 4K (3840 x 2160) outdoor security camera. Ring lists a 140 degree horizontal and 85 degree vertical field of view, up to 10x Enhanced Zoom, color video in low light and 3D Motion Detection using radar with customizable motion zones.
It can be powered five ways: plug-in, battery, solar (with a separate 6W solar panel), wired, or Power over Ethernet. It uses dual-band Wi-Fi 6, mounts on a wall, ceiling or flat surface, and Ring lists a 5 to 10 minute install, privacy zones, two-way talk with noise cancellation and a remote-activated siren.
Live View, two-way talk, real-time motion alerts, 3D Motion Detection and the siren work without a plan. Recording, storage up to 180 days and features such as Video Descriptions and Familiar Faces need a Ring Protect plan, with a free 30 day trial on every purchase. It works with Alexa.
