About
The Visage is the headline product of Lockly's Zeno Series and unlocks by looking at you: radar detects an approach, the camera performs facial recognition, and the door opens without a touch. It is Lockly's first lock designed around Apple Home compatibility including Home Key, and it keeps fingerprint and keypad entry as fallbacks. PCMag gave it an Editors' Choice award, which is unusual for a first-generation face-unlock lock.
Pros
- +Radar plus facial recognition means genuinely hands-free entry
- +Apple Home Key support alongside Siri, Alexa and Google
- +Fingerprint and keypad fallbacks if the face scan fails
- +PCMag Editors' Choice award
Cons
- −Not Matter certified, so ecosystem support is per-integration
- −Face unlock raises obvious privacy questions for a shared door
- −Expensive relative to keypad and fingerprint locks
- −Camera and radar draw more power than a basic smart lock
