The Yale Assure Lock 2 is a keypad or touchscreen smart deadbolt. As of October 2026 Yale's US store lists the Keypad with Bluetooth from $169.99, the Touchscreen with Bluetooth at $189.99, the Keypad with Wi-Fi at $259.99 and the Touchscreen with Wi-Fi at $279.99. It works with Apple Home on every version. Yale's store lists no Matter version or Matter module for it; Yale's Matter lock is the separate Yale Smart Lock with Matter ($189.99).

About
The Yale Assure Lock 2 is a smart deadbolt sold in keypad and touchscreen versions, with or without a key cylinder. Every version has Bluetooth built in. Wi-Fi versions add remote access and voice and smart home integrations without a separate bridge, and Yale also sells Z-Wave Plus versions. Bluetooth models can be upgraded later with Yale's Wi-Fi Smart Module.
Yale's US store does not list a Matter version or Matter module for the Assure Lock 2 as of October 2026. Yale's Matter lock is a separate product, the Yale Smart Lock with Matter.
Setup and compatibility notes
Every Assure Lock 2 includes Bluetooth. Yale says Bluetooth versions need an Apple TV, HomePod or HomePod mini set up as a home hub for remote control through HomeKit, or the Yale Wi-Fi Smart Module ($89.99 as of October 2026) for remote access. Wi-Fi versions need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the free Yale Access app. Yale lists 4 AA alkaline batteries, included, and door thickness of 1 3/8 in to 2 1/4 in.
Yale's US store also sells Z-Wave Plus versions for Z-Wave hubs. It does not list a Matter module for the Assure Lock 2 as of October 2026; for Matter, Yale sells the separate Yale Smart Lock with Matter, which it describes as designed for Google Home.
