About
SimpliSafe is a wireless home security system you can set up yourself: plug in the Base Station and follow the instructions in the SimpliSafe app to place the sensors. SimpliSafe also offers professional installation, starting at $124.99 on simplisafe.com as of October 2026.
Monitoring is optional and has no long-term contract. As of October 2026 SimpliSafe's support site lists Self-Monitoring with Camera Recordings at $9.99/month, Standard professional monitoring at $22.99/month and Core at $32.99/month, with Pro and Pro Plus above that. Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time.
Without a plan you can still watch live video from your cameras and arm or disarm the system in the app, but there is no emergency dispatch, no built-in network backup and no camera recording. If you move, SimpliSafe says it will provide a Mover's Kit with packaging and new adhesives when you call, so the system can go with you.
