The M1 Pro bundles four roles most homes otherwise buy separately: Matter controller, Thread border router, Tuya Zigbee hub and infrared blaster for legacy AV gear. It connects over Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi and works with Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant. At $69 it is one of the cheapest routes to bridging older Zigbee and IR devices into a Matter setup.
