About

The Encode Plus replaces a standard deadbolt and adds a keypad with unique access codes for family and guests, a built-in alarm, time-delayed locking and Apple Home Key, so an iPhone or Apple Watch unlocks it with a tap. Lock status, remote lock and unlock, and access schedules run through the Schlage Home app over the lock's built-in Wi-Fi. Schlage sells it in Century and Camelot trims.

Setup and compatibility notes

Schlage lists the Encode Plus as battery powered and easy to install, and its comparison chart does not mark it as needing a home hub. Setup and code management happen in the Schlage Home app, and voice control works through Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant.

Schlage's current comparison chart lists the Encode Plus as working with Airbnb, but does not list Matter certification, Thread or Apple hands-free unlock for it (those are marked for the Schlage Sense Pro). Warranty is limited 3 years on electronics and limited lifetime on mechanical parts and finish.
