The short answer

Reolink makes four kinds of security camera: battery and solar cameras that need no wiring, plug-in Wi-Fi cameras, wired PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras that get power and data from one network cable, and 4G LTE cameras for places with no Wi-Fi. Almost every model records to a microSD card or a Reolink recorder with no monthly fee for local storage. The right Reolink camera depends mostly on how you can power it.

Reolink Argus 4 Pro: best overall

Who it's for: most homes that want one outdoor camera with no wiring and no monthly fee.

The Argus 4 Pro uses two lenses that Reolink stitches into one 180° picture at 5120 x 1440, so one camera can cover the whole front or back of a house. It runs on a 5,000mAh battery that pairs with the 6W Solar Panel 2, connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and has a 170° PIR motion sensor with person, vehicle and animal detection. Night video is in color using built-in spotlights; the spec sheet lists no infrared night vision.

  • Price: $179.99 with Solar Panel 2, or $194.99 for the camera alone, on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026 (list price for the solar bundle $214.99).
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB (card not included), or a Reolink Home Hub for several cameras. Reolink Cloud is optional and offered in selected countries.
  • Battery: Reolink says about 2 months per charge at 300 seconds of recording a day, and that 10 minutes of charging gives 24 hours of use.
  • Trade-offs: it records on events only (triggered recording), not 24/7. It is IP66, rated for -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F).

We keep a full Argus 4 Pro device page, and it is also the top pick in our guide to best solar security cameras.

Reolink Duo 3 PoE: best wired camera

Who it's for: anyone who can run an Ethernet cable and wants the widest, sharpest view from one camera.

The Duo 3 PoE combines two sensors into a 7680 x 2160 (16MP) image across 180°, at up to 20 frames per second. It takes power and data over one cable (IEEE 802.3af PoE) or a 12V adapter, records motion, on a schedule or 24/7, and has both infrared night vision up to 30 meters (100 feet) and a 560 lumen spotlight for color at night.

  • Price: $178.49 on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026 (list $229.99).
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink NVR.
  • Works with other software: the spec sheet lists RTSP and ONVIF, the standards most third-party recorders use.
  • Trade-offs: you need to run a cable, and it has no zoom. IP67.

Reolink RLC-810A: best budget 4K

Who it's for: covering a driveway, door or side yard with 4K for under $100.

The RLC-810A is a classic 4K (3840 x 2160) PoE bullet camera. The standard 4mm lens covers 87° horizontally; Reolink also lists a 2.8mm version (101°) and a 6mm version (53°). It has infrared night vision up to 30 meters (100 feet), person, vehicle and animal detection, and records motion, on a schedule or 24/7.

  • Price: $84.99 for the 4mm version on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026 (list $99.99).
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink NVR.
  • Trade-offs: it has a microphone but no speaker, so no two-way talk, and its spec sheet lists infrared night vision only (no spotlight). Its spec sheet lists RTSP but not ONVIF. IP67.

Reolink TrackMix PoE: best for tracking

Who it's for: long driveways and yards where you want to see faces or plates, not just movement.

The TrackMix PoE pairs a 2.8mm wide lens with an 8mm telephoto lens for 6x hybrid zoom, on a head that pans 355° and tilts up to 90°. It follows moving subjects and zooms in on them (Reolink calls this auto-zoom tracking), detects people, vehicles and animals, records 4K (3840 x 2160) at up to 25 frames per second, and supports up to 64 preset positions.

  • Price: $169.99 on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026 (list $199.99).
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink NVR.
  • Trade-offs: it is large (228 x 147 x 110 mm, 1.21 kg) and rated IP65 rather than IP67. Reolink also sells Wi-Fi and 4G LTE versions of the TrackMix.

Reolink Altas PT Ultra: best battery camera for continuous recording

Who it's for: places with no outlet where you still want more than short motion clips.

Most battery cameras only record when they detect motion. The Altas PT Ultra has a 20,000mAh battery and supports 4K continuous recording and pre-recording as well as PIR alarm recording. It pans 355° and tilts 90°, tracks people automatically and connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 6.

  • Price: $197.99 with a white Solar Panel 2 (list $219.99), or $199.99 for the camera alone, on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026.
  • Battery: Reolink says up to 500 days in PIR mode at 300 seconds of recording a day, or about 8 days of continuous recording or pre-recording for 12 hours a day on a full charge. Reolink says 5 hours of direct sunlight a day on Solar Panel 2 supports its solar-powered continuous recording.
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink Home Hub.
  • Trade-offs: the view is 90° horizontal at any moment, so it relies on panning to cover a wide area. IP65. Heavy at 853 g without the bracket.

Reolink Elite WiFi: best plug-in Wi-Fi camera

Who it's for: homes with an outdoor outlet but no easy way to run Ethernet.

The Elite WiFi is a dual-lens, 180° camera at 5120 x 1552 that plugs into power and connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Because it is not on a battery, it can record 24/7. It has infrared night vision up to 30 meters (100 feet) plus spotlights, and adds virtual fence, zone intrusion and zone linger alerts on top of person, vehicle and animal detection.

  • Price: $159.99 on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026.
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink Home Hub (the Home Hub spec sheet lists all Reolink Wi-Fi and PoE cameras as compatible).
  • Works with other software: RTSP and ONVIF are listed.
  • Trade-offs: it needs a 12V power cable to an outlet. IP67.

Reolink E1 Outdoor Pro: best outdoor Wi-Fi pan and tilt

Who it's for: one plug-in camera that can turn to watch a yard, gate or parking area.

The E1 Outdoor Pro records 4K (3840 x 2160), has 3x optical zoom, pans 355° and tilts 50°, and tracks movement automatically. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 6 or Ethernet, has spotlights for color night vision and infrared up to 12 meters (40 feet), and records 24/7 if you want it to.

  • Price: $149.99 on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026.
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink Home Hub.
  • Trade-offs: 12V plug-in power, IP65, and a shorter infrared range than the PoE bullets.

Reolink E1 Zoom: best indoor camera

Who it's for: watching a living room, nursery or pets.

The E1 Zoom pans 355° and tilts 50°, has 3x optical zoom and records at 3840 x 2160. It detects motion, people, pets and crying, has a privacy mode, and, with the Argus 4 Pro, is one of two cameras on this list whose spec sheet names both Alexa and Google Assistant.

  • Price: $93.49 on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026 (list $109.99).
  • Storage: microSD up to 512GB, or a Reolink Home Hub; records 24/7 if you want it to.
  • Trade-offs: auto tracking is pan only. Indoor use. For more indoor options from other brands, see our best indoor security cameras.

Reolink Video Doorbell PoE and WiFi: best doorbell

Who it's for: a front door with existing doorbell wiring (or an Ethernet cable for the PoE model).

Both doorbells record a 2560 x 1920 (5MP) image with a 180° diagonal view, pre-motion recording, two-way audio and quick replies. They come with a chime and store to microSD (up to 256GB) or a Reolink NVR, with motion, scheduled or 24/7 recording.

  • Price: $119.99 (PoE) or $149.99 (WiFi) on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026.
  • Power: the PoE model runs on PoE or 12 to 24V AC doorbell wiring; the WiFi model is hardwired to 12 to 24V AC. Neither runs on a battery.
  • Differences: the WiFi model's spec sheet adds package detection.
  • Our doorbell camera guide compares Reolink's doorbells with other brands.

Reolink Go PT Ultra: best with no Wi-Fi

Who it's for: farms, cabins, construction sites or gates out of Wi-Fi range.

The Go PT Ultra connects over 4G LTE instead of Wi-Fi. It records 4K, pans 355° and tilts 140°, has PIR plus person, vehicle and animal detection, and runs on a battery with Solar Panel 2. A SIM card is included in the box; Reolink says it connects to AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile in the US and includes 100MB of free data to start, after which you choose a data plan.

  • Price: $229.99 with Solar Panel 2 and SIM card, or $199.99 for the camera and SIM card, on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026.
  • Data use: Reolink says one hour of live view in Clear mode uses about 1.3GB.
  • Trade-offs: you pay for mobile data every month, and microSD tops out at 128GB. IP64.

Recording without a subscription

This is the main reason people choose Reolink. Your options, from smallest to largest:

  • microSD card in the camera. Most models on this page take up to 512GB (the doorbells 256GB, the Go PT Ultra 128GB). Cards are sold separately.
  • Reolink Home Hub ($134.99, list $149.99, on reolink.com as of October 19, 2026). Manages up to 8 cameras, connects over Wi-Fi 6 and stores to two microSD cards of up to 1TB each, encrypted with AES-128. Reolink says battery cameras need a firmware upgrade to work with it.
  • Reolink Home Hub Pro ($319.99 with a 2TB hard drive, $189.99 without, as of October 19, 2026). Up to 12 cameras, with a hard drive bay and HDMI output.
  • A PoE NVR kit, such as the RLK8-1200B4-A ($729.99, list $859.99, as of October 19, 2026): four 12MP PoE cameras and an 8-channel NVR with a 2TB drive that expands to 16TB. Reolink says the NVR supports up to 12 cameras, with at most 8 wired.

Reolink Cloud is an optional paid add-on, available in selected countries, for off-site backup. Reolink's support site says PoE cameras and NVRs keep recording to local storage without internet, but remote viewing and push notifications stop until the connection returns. For other brands that work without a plan, see our guide to security cameras with no monthly fee.

How to choose a Reolink camera

  1. Start with power. Can you run Ethernet? Get PoE (Duo 3 PoE, RLC-810A, TrackMix PoE). Outlet but no cable? A plug-in Wi-Fi model (Elite WiFi, E1 Outdoor Pro). Neither? Battery and solar (Argus 4 Pro, Altas PT Ultra); our guide to the best wireless security cameras compares battery models from other brands too. No Wi-Fi either? 4G (Go PT Ultra).
  2. Decide if you need 24/7 recording. PoE and plug-in cameras record continuously. Most battery cameras, including the Argus 4 Pro, record events only; the Altas PT Ultra is the battery exception.
  3. Match the view to the space. 180° dual-lens cameras (Argus 4 Pro, Duo 3 PoE, Elite WiFi) cover a whole side of a house. Zoom and tracking (TrackMix PoE, E1 Outdoor Pro) are for long driveways where detail at distance matters.
  4. Plan storage for more than two or three cameras. A Home Hub or NVR keeps all footage in one place instead of on separate cards.
  5. Check your smart home. Every camera here lists Google Assistant; only the Argus 4 Pro and E1 Zoom list Alexa on their spec sheets. None of the spec sheets we read list Apple Home.

What we don't know

  • Reolink Cloud and 4G data plan prices. We did not find a current official pricing page for either, so we left prices out. Check in the Reolink app before you subscribe.
  • How long sale prices last. Several prices above are below Reolink's list price on October 19, 2026, and Reolink's sales change often.
  • E1 Zoom resolution wording. The E1 Zoom page's product summary says 5MP while its spec sheet and the variant on sale say 8MP (3840 x 2160). We follow the spec sheet.
  • Altas PT Ultra recording modes. Its spec sheet lists "24/4 recording", which looks like a typo; its FAQ says it supports 4K continuous recording. We describe it as continuous recording.
  • Real-world battery life. Battery figures are Reolink's own and depend on settings, activity and temperature.
